Things don’t always work out as planned! Sometimes things happen, and you can’t pick up your CSA share. Or, on our end, sometimes we lose crops (2009 was the worst year ever for tomatoes due to a scourge of late blight). We want to offer the egg share year round, but in November, the girls stop laying eggs as heavily, so there might be weeks without eggs for you folks. We have learned that we need to have policies in place that our customers are aware of before they purchase their shares. If you have any questions about these policies, or if there’s something you think we haven’t thought of, please let us know. We’re trying to make this easy on all of us. After all, if it’s not fun, they why are we working so dang hard?
If we are unable to deliver your share on a specific day (for example, if a market is rained out), then we will do our best to reschedule the delivery at your convenience. Please provide a phone number and email address so that we can contact you in such a situation, and let us know your preferred contact method.
If we are unable to deliver a share at all (for example, crop failure), then we will refund your fee (in cash or in credit, your preference) for that week.
If you are unable to pick up a share, please let us know in advance so that we do not harvest a share for you. You will not receive a refund. If you are going on vacation, we suggest you arrange for someone else to pick up your share (in other words, share your share). It’s too difficult for us to work around people’s vacation schedules, so unfortunately we can’t make exceptions.
If you have not picked up your share at market, we will hold your share at the farm for 24 hours. You can pick it up at your convenience. Call us for directions or if you need to know where your share is (it will be in our cooler).
If you do not pick up your share two weeks in a row and you have not contacted us, you will not receive another share and you will not receive a refund.
